I would define it as a mix of chic and edgy. I love feeling secure in what I'm wearing so I always pick colors like black, navy blue, grey and white. But, I sometimes pick a crazy printed outfit or a very colorful one. My style mostly depends on my mood, so if you see me in black go and hide! [laughs]
Absolutely. My father used to say if I had any religion, I would be a hedonist. I have always loved beautiful things. I worship beauty. And now it is my job to bring beautiful objects into people's lives... I love my job.
I'm excited to get back into the groove of photographing amazing and inspiring people for CURB APPEAL and can't wait to meet Linda - again. Linda and I had our first "run-in" so to speak while I was shooting for a client. In the process of aligning projects for the relaunch of the site, I thought to myself "I wonder if I can find the girl in that amazing coat?"
Books of John F. Kennedy are nestled on the same shelf as Alexa Chung's It, while a vintage pink Olympia typewriter is flanked between a MacBook Pro and the latest issue of i-D. Magazine. Which makes total sense, because if one would think of Haya, the idea of classic and chic with a youthful edge come to mind.
Tordini, who was referred to me by one of her best friends, Amina Muaddi (whom we're big fans of!) was such a delight to work with. She still wears this sense of calm in this hectic and crazy island we call Manhattan. Giorgia confirms my intuitions on her personal style and reveals her favorite fashion era below. Check it out!
She took it all in stride however. Gracefully walking however many blocks I toted her around to, she dazzled everyone with her beauty, decadent wardrobe and enviable shoes. Before the grand display of five outfit changes, I had the opportunity to sit down with the Jordanian beauty to talk about her main passion, her Milan-based shoe collection, Oscar Tiye.
The mere reason for my mention of love is where Ebony John comes in. I am going to attempt to stay on course here, because truly, where do I begin? Ebony was a simple referral to me via a previous CA muse, Sari Teitelbaum. If you believe in the adage, "love at first sight", then I suppose you can say that that is the emotion I felt when stumbling across her profile. But again, I am also guilty of using the term loosely.
Eager to get back into the swing of things and with my right index finger getting a bit trigger happy, I was beyond excited to have the opportunity to shoot again. I couldn't have asked for a better person to help me get back onto the creative wagon other than Aziza Azim.
