A SHOT IN THE DARK

I got the chance stroll the streets of Soho today, where California native, Dana Suchow and her boyfriend (Le 21ème photographer, Adam Katz Sinding) just recently moved into a cozy new apartment with their cat, Vita. Vita, by the way, was quite enchanting and very welcoming to a stranger like me visiting her home. The charcoal gray beauty pleasantly kept me company while Dana got things ready for her first look.

I took notice of the apartment. It's intimate, perfect for two, and houses an enviable walk-in closet right off of the bedroom. Dana invited me into the clothes/shoe shrine for a peek and I literally did a whirl in the middle of the immaculately organized his/her closet. "Yeah, we look a little OCD..." Dana chimes. An accurate assessment on the appearance of the color-coded multi-shelved masterpiece. I couldn't keep my eyes from bulging from my head, this is genius. 

Both thankful that it wasn't sweltering outside, we headed out to begin our shoot. I've seemed to have forgotten how crowded Soho gets on Saturdays.Things got interesting. Not only did the sun cheat us out of a day, but the ladder that I was carrying around (for shooting purposes) was garnering more attention that I was bargaining for. As always, there is an audience of sorts and today it consisted of an attempted photo bomb, and the friendly (and waving) staff at a nearby nail shop. I can't really say that I blame them. Dana is gorgeous, stylish, has a fantastic head of hair and THE best smile. That is bound to attract all sorts of attention, no?
